Description
When installing Husqui® cladding and decking profiles, we recommend using our solid composite batten.
This shorter 2400mm length is perfect to use with 2400mm Eden Cladding range. We also have a longer composite batten that is 3600mm long, take a look at OUT 5001.
This Husqui® composite batten is made from a mix of wood and recycled plastic which creates a solid, durable batten. Not only that, but, it is also extremely easy to use and cut.
Key Advantages:
-
- Durability: They are highly resistant to rotting, warping, cracking, and splintering, even when exposed to harsh moisture
- Low Maintenance: Unlike wood, composite battens do not require regular staining, painting, or sealing.
- Dimensional Stability: They maintain their shape over time, providing a reliable and “true” finish for architectural designs.
Composite battens offer rot-proof solutions for many DIY substructures. They create durable, moisture-resistant frames for wall cladding, ensuring necessary ventilation gaps. Additionally, they serve as stable, long-lasting perimeters for artificial grass installations or internal skeletons for garden beds.
These battens make a strong, secure and reliable framework on which to attach your cladding or decking. Alternatively, you may prefer to use our timber battens OUT-5003 for a traditional substructure.
Using a Composite Batten
Husqui® composite battens are designed to be used with stainless steel starter clips – OUT-9001, stainless steel screws – OUT-9003, and stainless steel clips – OUT-9002
