Description
These tanalised, wooden battens are perfect for creating a solid and reliable substructure for your cladding or roofing project.
Tanalised timber is wood that has been pressure-treated with a chemical preservative to prevent decay, rot, and insect infestation, extending its lifespan and making it suitable for outdoor and ground-contact applications. The process involves impregnating the wood under high pressure. This treatment enhances durability and resistance to fungi and moisture, making it ideal for use in construction, fencing, cladding and decking.
They can also be used for internal projects, for example, to install our acoustic wall panels – now available in natural oak and warm walnut.
The 25x50mm / 1 x 2″ solid timber battens are pre treated and can be used for roof, building and DIY projects.
Wooden battens can be used with stainless steel starter clips – OUT-9001, stainless steel screws – OUT-9003, and black TORQ screws – OUT-9006
For attaching to masonry, we recommend using our expansion screws with integrated rawlplug –OUT-9004
