Our timber battens for cladding are tanalised. ‘Tanalised’ is wood that is pressure-treated with a chemical preservative to prevent decay, rot, and insect infestation. This extends its lifespan and makes it suitable for outdoor and ground-contact applications. The tanalising process involves impregnating the wood under high pressure. This treatment enhances durability and resistance to fungi and moisture, making it ideal for use in construction, fencing, cladding and decking.
